This fun-filled event allows students to enjoy good food in good company, while meeting classmates who also call the New York metropolitan area home. The Commuter and Transfer Student Barbecue is sponsored by New Student Orientation, Commuter Student Services and Commuting Students Association. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to get to know students before the school year!

Event Organized by New Student Orientation

The mission of New Student Orientation team is to facilitate the transition of first year and transfer students into Fordham College at Lincoln Center by preparing them for Fordham’s educational opportunities and incorporating new students into the intellectual, cultural and social climate of the Fordham community.

Our Goals:

To provide direct programs and services for incoming students and their families that address the process of transition, introduce them to the core curriculum available, and provide opportunities for them to become active members of the Fordham community.

To provide information, direction and support to all campus offices and departments, including the academic colleges, in orienting new students. To actively include current students in the process of incorporating new students as members of the Fordham community.

To design programs which familiarize incoming students with the character, values and Jesuit traditions of Fordham College at Lincoln Center.
